Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Wait a second, how does this work?

Great question. The first step is to schedule an appointment. You can do this online at rovephysiotherapy.janeapp.com or by contacting us. You'll then be asked to specify a meeting location. For most people, this would be at their home or their office.

Then, it'll be time for our first visit. I'll bring all the required clinical supplies and we will get right to work improving your physical health.

Where can we meet?

Your home, your office, your residence, your hospital room. Anywhere you need physiotherapy, we can meet. So long as it's in Ontario.

What areas do you travel to?

This practice is based in Ottawa, Ontario. At this time, we will only be travelling as far West as Highway 416, East as far as Blair Road, and South as far as Hunt Club Road. If you would like to schedule an appointment but live outside of this area, please call or email to book. Please note we do not offer any service in Quebec.

Do you do direct billing?

This clinic does not offer direct billing. You will receive a receipt which you can submit to your insurance provider. Please note this clinic does not offer direct billing for WSIB claims nor Motor Vehicle Collision (MVC) claims.

What do I wear to my appointment?

Comfortable, loose fitting clothes that allow for easy movement are great. You may wish to consider dressing strategically based on where your injury is. For example, wearing a sleeveless shirt when you have a shoulder injury.

Can I have someone with me for my appointment?

Yes. You are welcome to have someone present to witness the visit.

How much space do I need?

Physiotherapy is highly adaptable. In general, I travel with a portable therapy table. An open space that is roughly 6'x8' is adequate. That said, not all visits require the use of the therapy table, so please contact us if you're concerned about space.

How do the payments work?

If you're paying by credit card, it is processed through the booking software, called Jane. When you complete our intake form, you'll have the option to add your credit card. You will not be charged at this time. When your session is complete, your card will be charged and a receipt will be emailed to you.

Alternatively, you can pay with exact cash or by Interac E-transfer to rovephysiotherapy@gmail.com.

Please note, payment is required at each visit.

I have a pet, is that ok?

Heck yeah. Pets are fine with us. We've had the pleasure of meeting many great pets and look forward to meeting more.

Do you do hospital or care home visits?

Yes! If you'd like services while in the care of a hospital or care home, start by talking to the clinical manager of your unit. Every facility has different policies. There are usually a few extra administrative hoops to jump through, but we'd be happy to bring great care to you.
